COLUMBIA, Mo.--Last year 7,298 fans came to the Hearnes Center for a showdown between the Missouri and Nebraska women's volleyball teams, donating over 5,000 pounds of food to the Central Missouri Food Bank in the process. This Wednesday, starting at 6:30 p.m., the two teams meet in Columbia again for "Can the Huskers" Night II. Patrons will receive free admission into the match, which is a battle for the Big 12 lead featuring No. 15 Missouri (13-4, 7-1) and No. 1 Nebraska (15-0, 7-0), with two canned-good items.
Fans are encouraged to show to the Hearnes early, as traffic should be considered in arrival time. In addition, all seating, including floor seats, is general admission on a first-come, first-serve basis.
The match itself will also be aired live on KZOU in Columbia, MetroSports in Kansas City, and on FSN Midwest in all areas with the exception of the state of Indiana.
Tigers Move to No. 15 in National Poll
Mizzou re-enters the top 15 of the CSTV/AVCA Coaches' Poll with the latest poll released Monday. It is the first time the Tigers have been in the top 15 since the preseason poll put the Tigers No. 13 in the nation. Currently, Mizzou is on a seven-match winning streak and a 11-match home winning streak.
