Columbia, Mo. -
The University of Missouri Department of Athletics has received notification from the Big 12 Conference that its Nov. 25th home game against the University of Kansas has been selected for telecast by ABC Sports.
ABC will televise the Border Showdown game, with the kickoff set for 11 a.m. (central time).
The Tigers return 17 starters from a team that went 7-5 a year ago and won the 2005 Independence Bowl with a record-setting come-from-behind win against South Carolina. Mizzou will look to even the series against the Jayhawks, who hold a 53-52-9 edge in the rivalry, which is the second-oldest in the nation.
Television information for other non-conference games will be forthcoming in the near future.
Season tickets are available for purchase, with the schedule featuring a record seven home games - Sept. 2nd against Murray State, Sept. 9th against Mississippi, Sept. 23rd against Ohio, Sept. 30th against Colorado, Oct. 21st against Kansas State (Homecoming), Oct. 28th against Oklahoma and the Nov. 25th matchup against Kansas. All other game times will be announced at a later date.
Tickets can be ordered from the MU Athletic Ticket Office online at www.mutigers.com, or by calling 1-800-CAT-PAWS (884-PAWS in Columbia).
