GREENSBORO, Ga. - - The Mizzou Men's Golf team is sixth after the first two rounds of the Linger Longer Invitational, played at the Reynolds Plantation Course in Greensboro, Ga. The first two rounds were played on Sunday with the final round to take place Monday.
Freshman Peter Malnati opened the first day of the tournament with a one-under par 71 in the first round. He followed that with a 73 in the afternoon round and stands in a tie for eighth place with an even-par 144 score after 36 holes.
Senior Chris Mabry opened with an even par 72 in Sunday's opening round, before recording a 74 in the second round. He is in a tie for 16th spot heading into the final round.
Senior John Kelly is tied for 30th with a two-round total of 149 (73-76) and junior Shawn Jasper stands in a tie for 43rd with a 151 (77-74) score. Senior Ben Scott had to withdraw from play during the second round.
The final round of the Linger Longer Invitational will be played on Monday.
