STEVINSON, Calif.-- - After the first two rounds of the Stevinson Ranch Invitational hosted by the University of Colorado in Stevinson, Calif., the Mizzou Men's Golf team is tied for sixth place with round of 306 and 299 on day one of play. The Tigers and Illinois State are 29-over par, with 36-hole totals of 605, nine shots behind tournament host and leaders Colorado.
MU junior John Kelly is tied for 11th with a two-round total of 149, recording a one-over 73 in the opening round, followed by a 76 in round two.
Senior Ben Scott had rounds of 77 and 74, for a 151 total, placing in a tie for 19th, while junior Shawn Jasper is tied for 24th spot, one shot behind Scott with a 152 (76-76) score after two rounds.
Senior Chris Mabry followed an 80 in the first round with a 73 in the afternoon round and it tied for 32nd with a two-round total of 153. Freshman Peter Malnati had a 36-hole total of 159 with rounds of 83 and 76.
The final round will be played on Tuesday in Stevinson.
