Missouri Women Fall To No. 39 Colorado 7-0

Boulder, Colo. - The University of Missouri women's tennis team was defeated by No. 39 Colorado 7-0 on Saturday. The loss drops the Tigers to 6-6 overall and 0-5 in the Big 12.

Saturday's loss to No. 39 Colorado ended Missouri's two-match road trip. The Tigers defeated Air Force 6-1 on Friday.

The Tigers lost their sixth match overall and fifth in conference play as they struggled without No. 1 singles player Hana Kraftova. Kraftova missed her third consecutive match with a back injury.

Missouri won one match, the No. 3 doubles contest, as the duo of Amanda Pratzel and Chrissy Svetlic defeated CU's Hanson and Losinski 8-5. But the win at No. 3 was not enough to win the doubles point as the Tigers lost the No. 1 and No. 2 doubles matches.

After winning at No. 1 singles on Friday, Missouri junior Yelena Olshanskaya fell to Colorado's Jessica Vanderdys 6-4, 6-2. Tiger sophomore Lubica Nadasska also fell in two sets, losing to No. 55 Monica Milewski at the No. 2 spot. At No. 3 singles, CU's Ewa Losinski defeated Missouri freshman Val Dandik 7-5, 6-1. Also losing in singles action for the Tigers; Erika Josbena at No. 4, Amanda Pratzel at No. 5, and Chrissy Svetlic at No. 6. In doubles action, Missouri's No. 1 and No. 2 teams lost their matches 8-1 and 8-5 respectively.

Missouri's next match is Sun April 2 against No. 52 Oklahoma State at the Green Tennis Center in Columbia. The match is scheduled to start at noon and the public is welcome to attend.
