BRYAN, Texas - The Mizzou Women's Golf Team is tied for 10th place after the opening round of the Texas A&M Mo-Morial at the Traditions Golf Club in Bryan, Texas. Freshman Ellen Hoeper and sophomore Madde Augustsson led MU with round of 78 on Friday.
Hoeper recorded a 1-under par 35 on the front side of Traditions Golf Club before shooting 43 on the back. Augustsson 4-over par on front nine and was even on the back until a double bogey on the seventeenth hole.
Fellow freshman Chelsea Schriewer shot 83, junior Stephanie Wavro carded an 86 and senior Kelli Strubinger turned in an 88 in the first round of play.
Texas A&M leads the tournament with a 306 on day one, one shot ahead of Akransas' 307.
Round two of the Mo-Morial will get underway at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday with the third and final round on Sunday.
