#53 Mizzou Extends Seven Match Home Win Streak

Columbia, Mo- The #53 Missouri tennis team continued its home court dominance defeating the #66 Ohio State Buckeyes, 5-2. The win brings the Tigers to 9-2 on the season and extends their record to 7-0 in Green Tennis Center.
Missouri controlling the tempo in pairs play the Tigers won their eighth doubles point of the season - extending their streak to five consecutive matches. The Tiger tandem of Charlotte Bellis and Hana Kraftova picked up their fifth victory of the year defeating Buckeyes Sonia Ruzimovsky and Kristen Messmer, 8-5. The duo of Katka Sevcikova and Carolyn Kramer improved to 5-2 on the year overpowering Lindsey Adams and Caitlin O'Keefe, 8-2.
Highlighting in singles play, No. 3 Yelena Olshanskaya came back from a 4-1 deficit to win the first set 6-4 and the match 6-4, 6-4. The win improves Olshanskaya's record to 8-2.
Also aiding the Tiger effort, newcomers Carolyn Kramer and Lubica Nadasska each picked up a win playing at No. 6 and No. 5, respectively. Kramer withstood a rally by Buckeye Lindsay Bryan to win the fist set 7-5 and pulled out the match victory 7-5, 6-4. Nadasska picked up her victory defeating Kristen Messer in straight sets.
The Tigers conclude their seven match home stand on Sat. March 12, when they host Air Force and Eastern Illinois. Missouri faces the Falcons at 10:00 a.m., and squares off against Eastern Illinois at 4:00 p.m. All Missouri tennis matches are held in Green Tennis Center and are open to the public.
