Today is my last writing of the year. The national tournament starts less than a week from today. Big 12's went pretty good for the team. We had 5 qualifiers and Tyler McCormick got hurt and would have made it to the finals and also the NCAA Tournament. He is done for a quite a while, but had a great season and will be back stronger for next year. Jeff Foust is the second alternate and I think a really good case could have been made for a wildcard for him. But the Big 12 Conference has fierce competition and to secure yourself a spot, you have to place in the top 3 in your weight class. I lost my match in the finals to Chris Pendleton 12-8. I had a really bad first two periods, but came back in the last period with two takedowns. I have one more shot at him at the Nationals. Hopefully I can make the most of it. It's been fun journaling all year and I hope that is has given you some insight into me as a person and also our Program. GO TIGERS!
