Columbia, Mo. -

Missouri Head Coach Quin Snyder

Opening Statement:

"We won, and I was really pleased with how we won.  That last offensive possession, just to have our guys smother the glass.  The shot that (Josh) Washington hit that put them up one was big.  So to come back from that big of a blow.  Really pleased with how we got it done."

On Thomas Gardner...

"I didn't think it was how many he scored, but the way he scored.  He got involved and had three assists and didn't turn the ball over.  He challenged our guys to get some rebounds.  I mean Marshall (Brown) started off with that put back and I think we should have more of that.  I just thought Thomas played a complete game.  He welded us down the stretch."

On Kevin Young...

"On our last few outings he's been so good in the low post, and I think he was disappointed with this game.  But tonight, he had a challenge in the post.  He's just been more composed and taking his time.  He was using the baselines and using his body.  The key to him is being consistent; he's actually one of our more consistent free throw players."

On Gardner becoming the go to guy...

"I think so, he and Jimmy down the stretch.  I have always talked to him about driving in that kind of situation because you can get fouled.  He just made a great play to get to the rim.  Those two guys; Jimmy was great at the line.  I just thought those two guys really played the way we needed to win."

On why Mizzou can't have five go to guys...

"I think some of it just skill level.  We got some guys that are young and trying to get better.  There still a little inconsistent; I thought Leo (Lyons) had a great game tonight.  You just have to keep on coming because there's going to be some ups and downs.  We have to play through those and not let it discourage us.  I think Kevin (Young) is good at that.  Keeping your head up and playing at the other end of the floor.  We need everybody to play.  Everybody's minutes are really important.

Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Head Coach Ronnie Arrow

On the final play call:

"We had it drawn up for Chris [Daniels],and we had it drawn up for our flare guy, we got it in and we fumbled it. Whatever it [play call] was, it wasn't the right one."

On rebounding:

"I told our guys if we out-rebound these guys we win. At half we were three rebounds down. Even at the end, with 15 seconds to go, they get three shots and score. We didn't get beat tonight on first shots."

On officiating:

"I thought the crew did a good job. We just couldn't get things done in crucial situations"
