Columbia, Mo. - Effective Sept. 1, 2005, eight individuals of Missouri's Department of Athletics received promotions within their respective areas. Mark Alnutt, Mitzi Clayton, Roger Crumpton, Frank Cuervo, Tad Dunn, Mark Ingram, and Eric Morrison were named Assistant Athletic Directors while Mary Ann Austin was promoted to Associate Athletic Director for Compliance.
Alnutt, a native of Kansas City, Mo., is in his eighth year with the Missouri athletic program. As Assistant Athletic Director for Football Operations, Alnutt's duties include coordinating the team's travel plans, oversight of the football budget, managing the walk-on program, assisting with recruiting operations and managing the day-to-day operations of the football program.
Now in his 27th year at the University of Missouri, Crumpton serves as Assistant Athletic Director for Arena Operations. With the recent addition of Missouri's state-of-the-art men's and women's basketball facility, Crumpton spends his time between Mizzou Arena and the Hearnes Center, home to women's volleyball, men's wrestling and women's gymnastics.
Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance, Clayton, coordinates all internal compliance education and interpretation requests. Clayton is in her sixth year with the Mizzou staff.
A graduate of the University of Florida, Cuervo, the new Assistant Athletic Director for External Relations, is in his fifth year with the Tiger athletic department and oversees the marketing, media relations and Tiger Team Store efforts.
Dunn, Missouri's new Assistant Athletic Director for Game Operations, oversees all sporting event game operations including event staffing, table crews, security and logistics and is in his fourth year with the Mizzou staff.
Two individuals from the Tiger Scholarship Fund (TSF) office were promoted, among them Ingram, a fourth year employee at the University of Missouri. Named Assistant Athletic Director for Major Gifts, Ingram is responsible for coordinating all major giving and capital campaign donations.
Also working in the TSF office is Morrison. Currently in his fifth year at Missouri, Morrison was promoted to Assistant Athletic Director for External Relations and works daily on projects involving annual giving and the Ticket Office.
Austin is in her 25th year at Mizzou and seventh with the compliance office. Austin heads the service-oriented department that provides educational assistance to student-athletes, parents and the Mizzou campus and athletic community regarding rules and regulations. Austin serves as a member of the Professional Sports Counseling Panel and acts as a liaison to the NCAA and the Big 12 Conference.
