
Tigers Take Third in Shootout at the Legends

FRANKLIN, Ind. - - The Missouri women's golf team finished in third place, three shots out of second, in the Shootout at the Legends Tournament in Franklin, Tenn. The Tigers shot a final round 295 to give them a three-round score of 889 (301-293-295).
Senior Denise Munzlinger finished fourth in the individual standings with a 54-hole total of 217 after a final round 71 on Tuesday. It is her best finish of the fall and the second top ten finishes for Munzlinger.
Junior Stephanie Wavro recorded a three-round score of 222 (75-73-74) to finish in a tie for 14th place. She was three shots ahead of sophomore Madde Augustsson, who tied for 20th with a final score of 225 (76-71-78).
Competing in her first collegiate tournament, freshman Ellen Hoeper tied for 30th place with a three-round total of 228 (77-77-74). Junior Lyndsey Adams shot a final round 76 for a 54-hole total of 229, placing her in a tie for 35th.
Kent State took the tournament title with a three-round total of 882, four shots ahead of second-place Illinois State and seven shots ahead of the Tigers.
Mizzou's next tournament is the Price's Give'm Five Tournament in Las Cruces, N.M. on Oct. 17-18.
