Mizzou gymnast Alisha Robinson added to her award collection, receiving the Kansas City Collegiate Athlete of the Year Award, presented by the Kansas City Sports Commission on Tuesday. Robinson accepted the award at the 33rd Kansas City Sports Commission Awards Banquet at the Hyatt Regency Crown Center.

Robinson made her third appearance at the NCAA Championships in 2005 as an individual all-around competitor. She set a new Missouri NCAA Championships record on the vault with a 9.900 score, beating the previous record of 9.875 that she set in 2002.

She also set a new MU NCAA floor and all-around records, and went on to finish 15th in the all-around competition. Her score of 9.850 on the floor routine allowed her to advance to the NCAA Individual Championship Final where she finished an impressive fifth overall. Robinson won 18 event titles in her senior year and was twice named the Big 12 Gymnast of the Week.
