(Columbia) Tickets went on sale Saturday, February 5th at 10 a.m. for the upcoming Kenny Chesney "Somewhere in the Sun" tour and sold-out in less than 45 minutes! Over 11,000 tickets are sold for CMA's reigning Entertainer of the Year Kenny Chesney who will also be performing with Gretchen Wilson and Uncle Kracker. To date, this sell-out sets the record for number of tickets sold to a concert at Mizzou Arena. This is also the fastest sell-out for any concert at the Mizzou Sports Park.

Ecstatic with Saturday's ticket sales, Associate Director of Athletics for Operations, Tim Hickman commented, "this is the fastest sellout in the 15 years I have been here". Kenny Chesney's tour, which stretches across the country from Las Vegas to Wisconsin to Florida, is selling out shows all along the way.

Roger Crumpton, General Manager of Mizzou Arena, expected the show to sell exceptionally well - a record breaking sell-out was a welcomed surprise. "I am glad we have this new arena to feature such desired concerts," said Crumpton. "Mizzou Arena is an excellent facility for touring artists and fans alike to really enjoy the concert experience."
