2005 TigerBall Softball Camps Announced

April 20, 2005

Columbia, Mo. - Missouri softball Head Coach Ty Singleton announced today that registration is now open for the 2005 Missouri TigerBall Softball Summer Camps. Two camps will be available this summer beginning July 5-7, with the All-Skills Camp and concluding July 11-14, with the Elite Camp. Those interested can attend either or both camps and are encouraged to Register On-Line

Missouri assistant coaches Tom Royder and Autumn Eastes will serve as Camp Directors, and will cover all aspects of the game of softball with an emphasis on fundamentals discussed in the All-Skills camp. The All-Skills camp is designed for girls ages 8-20 and campers will be grouped according to age and skill. Campers will learn to perform skill drills that the 17th-ranked Missouri Tigers use in their preparation for Big 12 competition. Camp will cover hitting, short game, baserunning, defense positions and will also include breakout sessions for pitchers and catchers.

The Elite Camp, also directed by Coach Singleton and the Mizzou softball crew, plus guest coaches from high school, club and college teams is designed for high school varsity athletes looking to pursue a college career in softball. Players will have the opportunity to display their skills in full game scrimmages and compete with other elite players at the high school level. In addition, coaches present advanced skill instruction and game strategy, including softball strength and conditioning, nutrition, and mental training for maximum performance. This is also a great opportunity to showcase player skills in front of college coaches from the junior college level to the division I university level.
