No. 12 Tiger Women's Golf Finishes 7th at Betsy Rawls

Columbia, Mo. - The University of Missouri women's golf squad shot a 313 in the final round of the Betsy Rawls Invitational on Sunday to give them a three-day total of 948 and a seventh place finish. The tournament was played at the par-72, 6,323-yard University of Texas Golf Course in Austin, TX, which will also be the site of the 2005 Big 12 Women's Golf Championships on April 22-24.

"We made some quality shots today and got a great look at how this course plays which will hopefully help us when we come back in April," head coach Stephanie Cooper said. "

Freshman Madde Augustsson, who played as an individual this weekend, was Mizzou's top competitor with a 14th place finish and a career-best total of 231. Augustsson recorded rounds of 75, 75 and 81. Tiger junior Kelli Strubinger finished in a tie for 25th place after rounds of 79, 75 and 80 (234) while senior Mindy Bullard finished her tournament with a solid 77 to finish in a tie for 28th with a three-round total of 235. Junior Denise Knaebel (T-38th, 239), sophomore Stephanie Wavro (T-53rd, 243) and senior Maria Ohlsson (T-64th, 246) rounded out the Tigers scoring for the tourney.
