Mizzou Baseball kicked off the 2005 season with the Inaugural First Pitch Celebration, held last Friday in the Memorial Stadium Press Box. Coaches, current players, former players and fans attended the event.

Alumni representing eight decades of Missouri Baseball were on hand including Gene McArtor and Phil Bradley, whose numbers have been retired by Mizzou.

Chris Gervino, the Sports Director of KOMU-TV in Columbia, also spoke at the celebration.

The Tigers will open up the 2005 season on Feb. 10 against Northwestern in the Oakland A's Spring Training Tournament in Phoenix, Ariz. Mizzou's first home action of the season will be on March 4-6 against Eastern Michigan.
