The University of Missouri women's tennis team opens the spring season on the road Saturday, January 30 against the University of Minnesota. The Tigers will also compete against Boston College and Oregon.
The team hopes to build off the momentum they created during a successful fall season. The Tigers are lead by senior Katka Sevcikova. Sevcikova ended the fall season with a team best singles record of 14-1, which included a win over Indiana's Dora Vastag who was ranked #37 at the time.
The Tigers open the 2005 home season in Mizzou's Green Tennis Center, next weekend when they host to Drake and Dartmouth. Play is set to open at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Attendance is open to the public.
