In her first year with Mizzou, Tatum Ailes has had an immediate impact. She has started every match of the season and leads the team with a 3.81 digs per game mark.
She had 22 digs against Purdue in just her second collegiate match and had at least 15 digs in each of the first four matches of the year.
Last year, as a senior at Bellevue West High School in Nebraska, Ailes led her team to a 46-2 record and the Class A State Championship.
She was a Super State selection last season and was named to the Nebraska State Tournament All-Class Team.

Q: Do you have a nickname?
A: My family gave me the nickname `Tator Tot.'
Q: What is the best piece of advice you ever received?
A: It's what you do when no one is watching.
Q: What is one thing that your teammates probably don't know about you?
A: I'm a really shy person outside of volleyball.
Q: If you won a $1 million shopping spree, what would you buy?
A: A nice car, shoes, clothes, a bunch of stuff for my family and all the latest gadgets.
Q: What is your favorite place to eat in Columbia?
A: Chipotle.
Q: Describe yourself in one word.
A: Curious.
Q: Who is the funniest person on the team?
A: Shen Danru.
Q: If you could switch places with any one person in the world for one day, who would it be?
A: Wonder Woman.
Q: What is one thing you've always wanted to do, but have not done?
A: Surf.
Q: Who is the most famous person you have met?
A: I met "Macho Man" Randy Savage on an airplane.
