Columbia, Mo. - Missouri wrestling head coach Brian Smith announced today that three of the six "Tiger Style" summer wrestling camps (Team Camp I, Technique and Intensive) are full, while limited space is still available in Team Camp II and III.
Designed for high school teams who desire summer-time dual meet competition as well as technique, Team Camp II (June 25-29 at Missouri) and Team Camp III (July 10-14 at Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville, Ga.) have space for approximately two more teams. The Youth summer camp, June 25-28 at Missouri is open and still accepting registration forms.
"Our camps are filling up fast," Smith said. "It's a credit to the entire coaching staff and team that we're able to attract so many wrestlers from across the nation to our camps. The Missouri team believes in "Tiger Style" and has had great success with it and now high school coaches and campers are wanting to learn it."
Smith's four "Tiger Style" summer day camps, geared towards developing technique, are also open. Day camps include Valley Center High School and Olathe Northwest High School in Kansas from June 7-11, St. Thomas High School June 14-18 in Florida and Sante Fe High School, July 5-8 in New Mexico.
