Women's Golf Moves to 3rd at Baylor Tournament

Boerne, Texas - Led by Denise Knaebel and Maria Ohlsson, Missouri shot a team round of 300 Saturday to move into 3rd place through two rounds of the 2004 Baylor-Tapatio Springs Shootout. The annual tournament is being held at the Tapatio Springs Golf Resort in Boerne, Texas.
Mizzou's team round of 300 was the 2nd-best score recorded in the 19-team field on Saturday, with tournament leader Indiana being the only team to shoot lower than MU today (294). Mizzou stands 3rd overall heading into Sunday's final round, behind Indiana (1st - 591) and Texas Tech (2nd - 601).
Individually, Knaebel and Ohlsson led the charge Saturday, as each recorded an even-par 72 on the 6,007-yard layout. Kelli Strubinger was four shots back of the pair Saturday, but after an opening-round 74 on Friday, she stands tied with her two teammates for 6th place in the individual standings, with all three at 150 heading into Sunday.
