
Tigers Lose Heartbreaker To Michigan In NIT

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) - Daniel Horton scored 20 points Tuesday night, leading Michigan to a 65-64 victory over Missouri in a first-round NIT game.
Bernard Robinson Jr. scored 14 points and freshman Dion Harris added 12 for Michigan (19-11), which is 8-0 in NIT games at Crisler Arena. The Wolverines are in the tournament for the eighth time in program history.
Arthur Johnson scored 26 points for Missouri (16-14), which lost for just the fourth time in its last 11 games. The Tigers, 1-6 in six NIT appearances, also got 10 points apiece from Rickey Paulding and Jason Conley.
The Tigers led 48-40 with 9:56 to play, but the Wolverines went on a 15-6 run. Missouri tied the game three times down the stretch, the last at 59 with 3:28 to play.
Missouri's loss was its third in as many visits to Ann Arbor, and the Tigers are 1-4 against the Wolverines.
Michigan next will face either Oklahoma or LSU, who play Wednesday night. Second-round games are scheduled to begin Saturday.
