The Missouri volleyball team earned its fifth-consecutive bid to the NCAA Tournament and will host first and second round matches at the Hearnes Center next weekend. Mizzou is the No. 16 seed in the tournament and will open up play against Arkansas in opening round at 6 p.m. on Friday.
Louisville and Illinois will be the other matchup on Friday, with first serve set for 4 p.m. The winner of Friday's matches will play at 6 p.m. on Saturday.
Mizzou advanced to the NCAA Tournament in each of the previous four seasons. Last season, the Tigers fell to UC-Irvine in the first round of the tournament in Los Angeles, Calif. In 2003, they recorded their first postseason win in school history by defeating Northwestern in the opening round of the tournament in Cedar Falls, Iowa before falling to Northern Iowa in the second round. In 2001, MU lost to Illinois in round one and in 2000, Utah knocked out Missouri in the opening round.
