VOLLEYBALL Q&A: Abbie Booth

Since the Tigers' match against Iowa State on Sept. 29, Abbie Booth has been a regular in the lineup. Booth is averaging 2.20 digs per game and has reached double digits in digs four times this season, including a career-high 19 to lead MU against Texas A&M on Oct. 27. She appeared in five games last season as a freshman after coming to Mizzou from Notre Dame de Sion High School in Kansas City. Booth was selected to the All-District Team three times at Notre Dame de Sion and was named to the Kansas City Star All-Metro team in 2002. Her high school team advanced to the Class 4 Finals her senior season and won the Missouri Class 3A State Championship in her junior season.

Q: What are your hobbies?
A: Shopping for anything pink.

Q: What is the best piece of advice you ever received?
A: Life isn't about what happens to you, it's about how you deal with it.

Q: Describe yourself in one word.
A: Feisty.

Q: If you won a $1 million shopping spree, what would you buy?
A: A new car for everyone in my family.

Q: Where is your favorite place to eat in Columbia?
A: Buffalo Wild Wings, but my roommates never want to go with me!

Q: Who is the funniest person on the team?
A: Shen, but I don't think she means to be funny, she just is.

Q: Name one thing you've always wanted to do but have not done.
A: Go parasailing.

Q: What is your favorite thing about Mizzou Volleyball?
A: The relationships I have formed with my teammates.

Q: If you weren't playing volleyball, what sport would you play?
A: Croquet.

Q: What are your career goals?
A: The only goal I have as of now, is to be successful and to love whatever I end up doing.
