We started our first week of real practice in the new room. It is really nice because no one is running into each other anymore and there is so much practice space.
Monday morning was run and lift as usual, except we are on a new lifting cycle, that puts more of the lifts on Monday and Wednesday, because most of the time we are competing on Saturdays now so we don't usually lift on Friday. Monday I wrestled with Chris Potter. We drilled mostly on top and bottom all practice, then went 3-10 minute goes with different partners.
Tuesday morning I did my individual drill with James Williamson where we worked on a lot of top techniques. Tuesday Afternoon I drilled with Raymond Jordan. What a stud. We did a lot of feet work and then went live with 2-10 minutes goes, and finished up with some conditioning.
Wednesday morning we did an hour and a half drill, very slow and a lot of technique. The Wednesday afternoon lift was very strenuous. It is like twice as long as before.
Thursday Morning I went with Sean Cannole for my individual drill. Practice that afternoon was very long. We went over 2.5 hours and finished up with 30 minutes of live and conditioning.
Friday was a make weight practice for everyone, where we drilled hard for about an hour. My brother, Max, was in town for his recruiting trip. We had a lot of fun. Saturday we had wrestle offs in the afternoon after the football game. I wrestled with my brother for about an hour and got some weight off. Wrestle offs were a lot of fun. There were a lot of good matches, and everyone looked tough.
It should be interesting to see how all of the young guys do this weekend at the CMSU open. I anticipate a great showing!
