COLUMBIA, Mo.-- - Mizzou Volleyball extended its win streak over Baylor to five with a 3-1 (30-18, 30-19, 24-30, 30-15) win on Saturday at the Hearnes Center. The Tigers have won eight of the last 10 meetings with Baylor with their last loss in the series coming in November of 2001.
Missouri (5-3, 1-1 Big 12) entered the day leading the Big 12 in kills per game and improved that average to 17.52 with 53 kills on Saturday.
The Tigers out-hit Baylor .376 to .180 in the match. In game one, the Tigers had a .471-.032 advantage in hitting and followed that by outhitting the Bears .406-.135 in the second game.
Baylor (6-5, 0-2) turned in around in game three, turning in a .594 hitting percentage in that game, while MU hit .351. However game four was controlled by MU who held BU to a -.030 hitting mark.
Shen Danru had 19 kills to lead the Tigers and ha s a team-best 4.32 kills per game average on the season. Danru added 11 digs for her fifth double-double of the season.
Lindsey Hunter had 44 assists to improve her Big 12 leading assists per game mark to 13.84. Nicole Wilson has a team-high .588 hitting percentage, with 11 kills.
Missouri will continue its four-match homestand with a non-conference meeting with Southeast Missouri State at 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the Hearnes Center.
