"Head to the Hearnes", Lassiter Homecoming on Saturday

Jan. 28, 2004

COLUMBIA, Mo. - Tickets are on sale for just $1 each, and may be bought through the Hearnes Center Ticket Office or by calling 1-800-CAT-PAWS (573-884-PAWS in Mid-Missouri). Individuals or businesses may also purchase groups of tickets and donate them to local youth organizations through the department of athletics.

Organizations that purchase 100 or more tickets will have their name listed on the video board and mentioned in public announcements during the game, and those who purchase 500 or more will have the opportunity to hang their banner in the arena during the game.

The school's all-time women's basketball attendance record of 10,321 fans was set in 2002 against Kansas.

In addition, former Tiger All-American Amanda Lassiter will be in attendance and will be honored during the game for her career accomplishments both at Mizzou and in the WNBA, where she is about to start her third season with the Seattle Storm. Lassiter will be available to sign autographs for 30 minutes after the game.

Finally, the banners hanging from the Hearnes Center rafters honoring the retired numbers of Renee Kelly and Joni Davis will be lowered to the arena floor at halftime as the Tigers prepare to move into their new basketball arena next fall.
