FOX Sports Net Midwest to Carry Women's Game at Kansas State

Jan. 5, 2004

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The telecast of Mizzou's women's basketball game at No. 11-ranked Kansas State this Wednesday, Jan. 7, will be carried in the Columbia/Jefferson City and Kansas City markets by FOX Sports Midwest.

Unlike Big 12 Conference men's basketball telecasts, there are no restrictions on third-tier telecasts being broadcast beyond the border of the host institution, meaning that the entire FOX Sports Net Midwest footprint other than the state of Missouri - comprising the states of Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, Indiana, and much of Illinois - will receive the game.

The rest of the state of Missouri - outside of Columbia/Jeff City and Kansas City - will receive the Mizzou men's basketball game at Iowa State, which will also tip off at 7 p.m.

The game will be the second time this season that the women have been on TV, and starts a span of four TV games in Mizzou's next five contests. In all, the Tigers are guaranteed seven regional and national appearances this season, which ties the school record.
