
Tiger Women's Golf Finishes Tied for Sixth

Parrish, Fla. - The University of Missouri women's golf team tied for sixth place in their first tournament of the spring season Tuesday. The Central District Invitational was hosted by Michigan State University, and was held in Parrish, Fla. at River Wilderness Golf Club. Ohio State won the tournament after starting the day tied for second place with Missouri and Kansas State, as a team the Buckeyes shot only three over-par (291).
Senior Elin Ohlsson (77-75-76 - 228) led Mizzou, tying for 12th place and finishing 11 spots behind tournament winner Kristen White of Ohio State, who shot three-under on the day. Freshman Kelli Strubinger (77-77-80 - 234) carded a total of 234 for the invitational and finished tied for 24th.
Rounding out the Tigers scoring, sophomore Maria Ohlsson turned in a 238 for the tournament (82-77-79 - 238) along with freshman Denise Knaebel who shot a 241 (77-83-81 - 241). Sophomore Mindy Bullard turned in a score of 244 for the Tigers (80-78-86 - 244).
