Columbia, Mo. - For the past four weeks the University of Missouri women's swimming and diving team seemed to be stuck at the No. 23 spot in the College Swimming Coaches Association of America poll, but as of Nov. 26 they are now ranked No. 22 in the nation, as released by the CSCAA.
Bolstered by a commanding victory over Nebraska on Nov. 14 and a third place finish at the Indiana Invitational this past weekend, coaches around the country decided that it was time for Missouri to move up in the ranks.
The Missouri women are currently 4-2 on the season and 2-1 in Big 12 competition. The Tiger's losses have come to No. 1 Auburn and No. 15 Texas A&M.
Other Big 12 schools in the top-25 are No. 5 Texas and No. 15 Texas A&M. Kansas also received votes, but did not make it into the top-25.
Up next for the Tigers is the U.S. Open December 4-6 in Federal Way, Washington.
