Columbia, Mo. - Junior Maria Ohlsson was one of four players to fire under par Monday in the opening round of the Las Vegas Collegiate Shootout at the Anthem Country Club (Par 72, 6194 yards) in Las Vegas, Nev. Ohlsson shot her lowest round of the fall with a 71 and was in fourth place heading into today's second round. Mizzou is currently in fourth place as a team at the three day tourney after firing a team total of 299 on Monday, putting them at +11 for the tourney.
Junior Mindy Bullard also had a solid opening round shooting a one-over par 73 in route to a spot in eighth. Sophomore Denise Knaebel is only three strokes out of the top ten with her opening round of 76 (28th place) while fellow sophomore Kelli Strubinger registered a 79 (45the place). Freshmen Lyndsey Adams, who is competing as an individual at the tournament, and Stephanie Wavro round out the Tigers' scoring in the opening round.
