As released this afternoon by the Big 12 Conference, Missouri sophomore, Evan Watters, has been named October's Big 12 Diver of the Month. The athletes were chosen by the head coaches in the conference.

So far this season Watters has only competed in one meet - Texas A&M. Against A&M, Watters had strong performances on both the 1 and 3-meter boards. On the 1-meter board, Watters finished first (280.90) defeating Texas A&M's Christian Picard. Picard is the defending Big 12 Champion on the 1-meter board. Watters also finished first on the 3-meter board against Texas A&M with a score of 289.20. At last years conference championship meet, Watter finished third on the 1-meter board.

Last year, Watters was named the Big 12 Diver of the Month for October and January, and has now claimed three Diver of the Month awards in two years.
