COLUMBIA, Mo. - Mizzou and its golf programs will be in the national spotlight starting next Wednesday, when The Golf Channel airs a segment including a tour of the Columbia campus with senior men's golfer David Jenkins and sophomore women's standout Denise Knaebel.
The segment, called "Campus Spotlight", will air beginning at 6 p.m. CDT next Wednesday, Oct. 8, during the next episode of TGC's College Central. It will re-air three more times next week: Thursday at 3:30 a.m. and 8 a.m., and 7:30 a.m. Friday.
Jenkins and Knaebel served as unofficial tour guides for The Golf Channel in August when a camera crew made a stop on its tour of college campuses. The Tiger duo led the crew around some of the campus landmarks, including Tiger Plaza; several areas around Francis Quadrangle including Jesse Hall, the Columns, and the Thomas Jefferson statue and gravestone, and the Beetle Bailey statue. Jenkins and Knaebel also showed the crew around the facilities at A.L. Gustin Golf Course, the on-campus home of the Tigers.
