STANFORD, Calif. - Sophomore Ben Scott (Lancashire, U.K. / St. Theodore's HS) fired a season-low 68, and senior David Jenkins (Springfield, Mo. / Glendale HS / SMS) carded his second straight 69 to remain in the top 10 after the second round of The Nelson, played Saturday afternoon at the Stanford Golf Club.

Scott's 68 is his best round of the season by five strokes and moves him into the top 25 at 1-under-par 141, good for a tie for 22nd place. Jenkins is at 4-under 138, which is six strokes behind Toledo's Brad Heaven after 36 holes of play.

Senior Mike Radek (Chicago, Ill. / St. Ignatius) shot a second-round 74 and has fallen to a tie for 42nd at 2-over 144; freshman Beau Crawford (La Plata, Mo. / Kirksville HS) improved a stroke with a 76 (t-71st) and sophomore Chris Mabry (Leawood, Kan. / Bishop Miege HS) is tied for 77th after improving three strokes with a second-round 76.

With the help of the solid sub-par rounds from Scott and Jenkins, the Tigers improved two strokes as a team with their second-round 287. They remain in 12th place at 8-over 576, just three strokes out of sole possession of 10th. Washington has a two-stroke lead over Duke after shooting 6-under 278 as a team on Saturday. The Huskies are 19 strokes ahead of Mizzou through two rounds.
