Tickets Sold Out for MU-Nebraska Football Game

Sept. 30, 2003

Columbia, Mo. - The University of Missouri football game against Nebraska in Columbia on Oct. 11th has sold out, as announced today by the MU Athletic Ticket Office.

A capacity crowd of 68,349 is expected for the game, which will kickoff at 6 p.m. and will be shown to a national cable television audience on Superstation TBS.

The sellout will mark the third sellout at Faurot Field/Memorial Stadium since 1998, with the previous sellouts coming against Kansas State (68,174 on Nov. 21, 1998) and Nebraska (68,174 on Sept. 25, 1999). Eight of Mizzou's top 25 crowds have come when hosting Nebraska, with the biggest Nebraska crowd coming in at 74,575 in 1979. The record crowd for Faurot Field is 75,298 against Penn State in 1980. Capacity for the stadium decreased in the 1990s due to renovations throughout the decade.

Tickets are available for MU's remaining home contests for the 2003 season - Oct. 25th against Texas Tech, Nov 15th against Texas A&M and Nov. 29th against Iowa State. Tickets for those games can be ordered online at www.mutigers.com, in person at the Hearnes Center box office, or via phone by calling the ticket office at 1-800-CAT-PAWS (884-PAWS locally).
