New Management at Mizzou's Green Tennis Center

Sept. 22, 2003

Steven Stuckenschneider has accepted the management post at MU's Green Tennis Center. Stuckenschneider originally hails from Mexico, Mo. He has spent the last three years teaching and playing in Gainesville, Fla. Stuckenschneider has been one of the top tennis pros at the prestigious 300 Club in Gainsville and has worked with numerous high level players there. He has a strong junior development background and helped to build one of the strongest tennis programs in North Florida. He expects to do the same in mid-Missouri.

"I feel very blessed to be given this opportunity," Stuckenschneider said. "The Green Tennis Center is beautiful, and tennis in this area has lots of potential. The entire Missouri faculty and staff are class acts. It feels good to be home and even better to be a Tiger".

"Steven clearly has a great way with people, and has some great ideas," said MU Head Coach Blake Starkey. "We are excited he's here. He'll be a great asset to the Green Tennis Center."
