COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Missouri women's basketball team will host Ball State on Monday night at 7 p.m. at the Hearnes Center in a second-round Women's National Invitation Tournament game, officials from the WNIT announced Friday night. The game will be a matchup of two teams that needed overtime to advance out of the first round.

The Cardinals (21-9) defeated Indiana State in overtime, 91-87, to advance to the second round for the second straight year. The Tigers (16-13) needed double overtime to end Western Illinois' season with a 72-69 decision at the Hearnes Center. Missouri will also be making its second appearance in the WNIT second round, matching its 2000 performance.
