Sunday's Baseball Games Cancelled

March 2, 2003

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The baseball doubleheader between Youngstown State and Missouri that was scheduled for Sunday has been cancelled due to the cold weather, Head Coach Tim Jamieson announced this morning.

The cancellations come one day after the Missouri baseball team opened its 2003 home schedule with a doubleheader sweep of the Penguins, 9-0 (7 innings) and 10-2.

With Sunday's lost games, the Tigers have now had seven games cancelled due to inclement weather this year: three because of rain in Phoenix; Tuesday and Wednesday's games that were to comprise Mizzou's original home openers, and Sunday's twinbill.

Missouri's next scheduled game is this Tuesday, March 4, against Western Illinois. First pitch is slated for 6:30 p.m. at Taylor Stadium/Simmons Field.
