    TOURNAMENT

  • This was the second meeting between Missouri and Oklahoma State in the Big 12 Tournament. OSU defeated Missouri 67-48 in a first-round game in 1998.
  • Missouri is now (2-6) in first-round games.
  • Oklahoma State is now (5-2) in first-round games.
  • The sixth seed is now (4-3) all-time vs. the 11th seed.

    MISSOURI

  • Junior forward Evan Unrau led the Tigers with 18 points, marking the 23rd time she has scored double-digits on the year and fifth time over 20 pts
  • Junior forward Stretch James poured in 16 points reaching the 15 pts plateau for the fifth time this season and two shy of her career-best.
  • Missouri outpaced the Cowgirls by a mark of 24 to 16 on the boards in the first half, including a 9-3 advantage in offensive rebounds.
  • James and Unrau registered double-doubles for the Tigers. For James it was her fourth double-double of the year and the eighth of the season for Unrau.
  • Unrau broke into the Big 12 Tournament record books in the category of single-game rebounding with 14; she now ranks in a tie for fifth.
  • In hitting 12-13 (.923) free throws, the Tigers tied the 2001 Longhorns for second-best percentage in tournament history and best for a first-round game.

    OKLAHOMA STATE

  • With Oklahoma State's 56-54 win over Missouri, the Cowgirls became the third 11 seed to advance to the quarterfinals. The last time a No. 11 seed advanced past the first round was in 1999, when OSU defeated Oklahoma 70-56.
  • The Cowgirls got off to a slow start, not scoring until the 15:28 mark and allowing the Tigers to get out to an eight-point lead. The bucket was scored by Meghan Craig. The Cowgirls did not score again until the 10:54 mark when Thia Willis scored on a fast break lay-up. Oklahoma State started the game 2-12 from the field.
  • Junior Trisha Skibbe made her way into the Big 12 tournament record books with 14 rebounds. She now ranks fifth all-time in single-game rebounds in the first round.
