The University of Missouri Tiger Tennis team lost their first conference matches of the season over the weekend losing to both Baylor and Texas Tech. The losses drop the Tigers to 8-3 overall and 3-2 in conference play.

The loss against Texas Tech was also the first loss of the season for the doubles pair of Urska Juric and Katka Sevcikova, currently ranked fourth in the country. On Saturday the Tigers lost to Baylor 5-2, with only Sevcikova and senior Kristina Olshanskaya taking victories in singles play. Today, the Tigers were defeated by Texas Tech 4-3, with Olshanskaya, Lucie Ruskova, and Hana Kraftova winning in singles play for the Tigers. The Tigers were swept in doubles play for the first time this year, and the doubles point proved to be the deciding point in the match.

The Tigers look to get back on track on Wednesday when they take on archrival Kansas at the Green Tennis Center at Mizzou.
