Missouri's Kenny Burleson Named to NWCA All-Academic Team

COLUMBIA, Mo. - Missouri sophomore Kenny Burleson has been named to the National Wrestling Coaches Association All-Academic Honorable Mention Team. Burleson, a native of Neosho, Mo., is a business major at Missouri and holds a 3.55 GPA.
This past season Burleson led the Tigers in wins, posting a 28-11 record, 13-3 in dual action. He finished the season ranked No. 13 in the 157-pound weight class. He took second place at the Missouri Open, second place at the Reno Tournament of Champions, second place at the University of Northern Iowa Open and fourth place at the Central Missouri State Open.
The Tigers finished the 2001-02 season with an 18-3 record, which tied a school record for wins in a season and Missouri finished 17th at the NCAA Championships.
