
Ohlsson Stands in 30th Place at NCAA Central Regional

Missouri junior Elin Ohlsson shot a round of 79 on Friday in the second round of the 2002 Central Regional Golf Championships at the Forest Akers West Golf Course in East Lansing, Mich. That was one shot better than her first round 80, which she turned in on Thursday.
Ohlsson began her round Friday on the back nine and carded a 40 on the back. She then recorded a 39 on the front nine, for the 79 total. Her two round total of 159 puts her in a tie for 30th place out of 108 golfers. Three golfers are tied for the lead with a two-day total of 148.
This past spring, Ohlsson led Missouri this season with a 78.06 strokes per round average and finished in the top 20 of four the Tigers six tournaments.
The final round of the NCAA Central Regional will be held on Saturday starting a 7 a.m. CST. Ohlsson will tee off at 7:50 a.m.
