Women's Golf Places 11th at Longhorn Classic

Austin, Texas - The University of Missouri women's golf team finished 11th at the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Classic, which wrapped up Tuesday at Barton Creek Lakeside Course in Austin, Texas. The Tiger finished the 54-hole competition with a team score of 986. Duke took the tournament title with a team mark of 920, while host Texas was 2nd at 923.
Junior Elin Ohlsson led the way individually for Missouri, as she carded a three-round total of 228 (73-79-76) on the way to a tie for 8th place. Ohlsson's opening-round 73 was tied for the 2nd-best individual round of the tournament.
Younger sister Maria Ohlsson tied for 45th overall, and was 2nd among Tiger competitors. The younger Ohlsson shot rounds of 85, 79 and 82 for a three-round score of 246. Rounding out the Mizzou lineup were senior Nisha Sadekar (T-64th), freshman Mindy Bullard (T-77th) and sophomore Tara Jacobsen (79th).
Stephanie Cooper's squad will continue Spring Break in Texas, and will compete this Thursday and Friday at the Baylor-Tapatio Springs Invitational, to be held in Boerne, Texas.
