Tigers Wrap Up Multis at Texas A&M

College Station, Texas - The College Station Multis were good to the Missouri women heptathletes.
Juniors Fiona Asigbee and Abbe Ohneck both had personal best scores in the event, as Asigbee finished sixth with 5,016 points and Ohneck had 4,819. Asigbee finished in sixth place and Ohneck followed in ninth place. Kansas State senior Austra Skujyte won the gold division with 5,798 points and automatically qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships with her score. Skujyte was also the winner of the event at the 2001 College Station Multis.
In the decathlon, Knut Sommerfeldt placed fifth in the gold division with 7,050 points. Sommerfeldt came back from a 17th-place standing Thursday.
Freshman Brandon Goebbert finished in sixth place in the silver division of the decathlon with 6,285 points. Goebbert had a personal best in the pole vault, clearing a height of 14-1.25.
