Freshman Lindsey Hunter, redshirt freshman Shen Danru and junior Mary Lauren Smith were Honorable Mention All-Big 12 selections.
Myers averaged 4.07 kills per game during the regular season and had a hitting percentage of .388. She also averaged 1.43 digs per game 1.06 blocks per game and 0.26 aces per game. She had four double-doubles on the year and had four matches in which she recorded at least 20 kills.
Myers is the career leader in hitting percentage at Mizzou with a .322 mark. She also holds the record for most block assists (355) and most total blocks (446) in a career. Myers is also second in career kills with 1,452, just 27 away from breaking the record held by Yvette Buhlig. She is third in kills per game at MU (3.50), third in solo blocks (91) and third in blocks per game (1.08).
Hunter leads the Big 12 Conference in assists per game and is second in the nation with a 14.03 average. She has set the Missouri record for assists in a season, with a current mark of 1,557. Hunter also averages 2.18 digs per game and 0.23 aces per game.
Danru is averaging 3.81 kills per game, 0.54 aces per game and 2.18 digs per game. She leads the Tigers with 19 double-doubles on the year and has tied a school record for aces in a season with 61. She had a career-high 21 kills against Oklahoma.
Smith is second on the team with a 3.66 kills per game average and second with 395 kills on the season. She has a hitting percentage of .269 and is averaging 0.49 blocks per game and 0.48 digs per game. She was named the AVCA/Sports Imports National Player of the Week on Sept. 30 after recording back-to-back 20-kill matches. She has had a total of three 20-kill matches this season.
The Missouri volleyball team will open play in the 2002 NCAA Volleyball Tournament against Northwestern on Friday at 5:30 p.m. in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
