University of Missouri tennis players Urska Juric and Katka Sevcikova bowed out in the semifinals of the 2002 Omni Hotels National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships in Dallas. Juric and Sevcikova were defeated by the Tulane tandem of Jenny Kuhn and Julie Smekodub 8-5. Missouri tennis head coach Blake Starkey said, "They (Kuhn and Smekodub) were amazing and we're amazing. It was just their night. I'm very proud of Urska and Katka. Making the final four in this tournament is just awesome. Unfortuneately we ran into a team that just had it tonight." Juric and Sevcikova are the first Tiger team to ever make to the semifinals of the indoor championships.

The tournament is the final one of the fall and Missouri will play next when they open their season against Southeast Missouri State on January 25th at the Green Tennis Center.
