DALLAS -- Missouri's Elin Ohlsson was named the Female Big 12 Golfer of the Month for October, conference officials announced on Tuesday.

Ohlson compiled a 73.83 stroke average while finishing in the Top 15 in both tournaments the Tigers competed in. The senior from Vetlanda, Sweden, was fourth at the adidas Fall Classic in Port St. Lucie, Fla., registering rounds of 74, 72 and 73.

She also finished 13th at the Shootout at the Legends in Franklin, Ind. Ohlsson made a great comeback en route to her 13th-place finish. She shot a 78 in the second round and then came back with a 72 in the final round as she had four rounds of 74 or better during October.

She was the Tigers' highest individual finisher in three of their five fall events and recorded rounds of 74 or better in eight of her 15 rounds this fall.

Ohlsson and the Tigers are now finished with their fall schedule and will resume play on Feb. 24-25 at the Central District Invitational in Parrish, Fla. For more information on Missouri women's golf, log on to www.mutigers.com.
