Spots Open for 2nd Annual Missouri Football Xs and Os

Aug. 8, 2002

Columbia, Mo. - From the expert fan to the novice tailgater, it's always a great time to review the basics of the game of football. On Mon., Aug. 19, Vicki Pinkel and Rockie Alden will host the second annual Missouri Football Xs and Os women's clinic sponsored by Grindstone Fitness Studio and Frameworks Gifts and Interiors.

Festivities will begin with a social hour at 5:30 p.m. in the Tiger Lounge Level of the Memorial Stadium Press Box facility. Vicki Pinkel will kickoff the program at 6 p.m. The evening will include an overview of football fundamentals presented by members of the Tiger coaching staff and other experts. Special gifts will be handed out to all participants, with food and beverages provided by Chevy's Fresh Mex. Special guests will be in attendance, and clothing items from Mizzou-Rah retailers will be displayed.

Individual tickets are now on sale for $30. All proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Tiger Send-A-Kid Program, which provides tickets to underprivileged children. Space is limited, and advance reservations can be arranged by calling Brenda Baker of the Tiger Development Office at (573) 884-0742.

Last year's inaugural Xs and Os Clinic attracted over 150 people, and raised more than $3,500 for the Send-A-Kid Program.
