Columbia, Mo. - Guard Ryan Kiernan has been awarded a scholarship for the 2002-03 season. Kiernan, who will be a senior next season, has played in 15 games as a walk-on the last two seasons at Missouri. He averaged 0.9 points in 11 appearances in 2002-03.

"Ryan is a very hard worker," said MU Head Coach Quin Snyder. "He has a great competitive spirit about him, and I'm pleased we can recognize his efforts in this way," he said.

"I'm really honored to receive a scholarship," said Kiernan. "I've always dreamed about playing at Missouri, and I've worked hard to get to this point, so it's very rewarding. It means a lot to me," he said.
