Little Rock, Ark. - The University of Missouri men's golf team endured two rain delays during today's second round of play at the NCAA Central Regional, held at Pleasant Valley Country Club, and the Tigers slipped to 19th place in the 27-team competition. Missouri shot a team round of 304 on Friday, and slipped from 15th to 19th in the standings, at 26-over par for two rounds. Mizzou stands 19 shots out of 10th place, which is the cutoff point for advancement to the NCAA Championships, heading into Saturday's final round.

Missouri got off to a decent start Friday, as they teed off on the back nine, and improved their team score on holes 10-18 by three shots (7-over par on Friday compared to 10-over par on Thursday). But they couldn't take advantage on the front nine, where MU came in nine-over par Friday after shooting even par on the same holes in Thursday's opening round.

Individually, sophomore Brandon Knaub shot a two-over par 74 on Friday, and is tied for 44th place overall with a two-round total of 147. Knaub was one-under par through four holes, but suffered three consecutive bogeys on holes 14-16. He finished his final 11 holes at even par however.

Senior Mark McBride dropped from 13th to 61st in the standings on Friday with a six-over par 78 in a round which featured an uncharacteristic six bogeys and no birdies for the two-time defending Missouri State Amateur Champion. McBride parred each of his first five holes Friday, but bogeyed five of his next seven (holes 15-18 & 1-3).

Several teams did not finish play due to weather delays, so standings reflect score relative to par.
