Missouri junior golfer Elin Ohlsson will be competing in the NCAA Central Regional this week at Forest Akers West Golf Course in East Lansing, Mich. Ohlsson is among 21 teams and three individuals that were selected for the tournament.
Her 78.06 strokes per round average led the Tigers this spring. She finished in the top 20 three times during the spring, with her best finish coming at the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational. She recorded a three round total of 228 to finish in a tie for eighth.
Ohlsson tied for 15th at the Central District Invitational, tied for 18th at the Baylor Invitational and finished 14th at the Indiana Invitational. Her low round of the year was a 73 in the first round of the Central District Invitational.
She was also selected to the Academic All-Big 12 Team this spring.
The 54-hole NCAA Central Regional Tournament will begin at 8 a.m. on Thursday. Round two is Friday and the final round will take place on Saturday.
